" /> High Affinity Nerve Growth Factor Receptor - CISMeF

Preferred Label : High Affinity Nerve Growth Factor Receptor;

NCIt synonyms : Nerve Growth Factor Receptor Type 1; NTRK1; Tyrosine Kinase Receptor; EC 2.7.10.1; Tyrosine Kinase Receptor A; Tropomyosin-Related Kinase A; TRK1-Transforming Tyrosine Kinase Protein; gp140trk; Trk-A; p140-TrkA; Neurotrophic Tyrosine Kinase Receptor Type 1; Neurotrophic Tyrosine Kinase Receptor Type-1; TrkA;

NCIt definition : High affinity nerve growth factor receptor (796 aa, 87 kDa) is encoded by the human NTRK1 gene. This protein is involved in tyrosine phosphorylation, axonogenesis and receptor-mediated signaling.;

NCIt note : NTRK1 exists in dynamic equilibrium as low affinity monomers and high affinity dimers with TRKA, TRKB, or TRKC to bind NGF, NTF3, NTF4/5, and BDNF neurotrophins that regulate development and function of the nociceptive and thermoregulatory nervous systems. Ligand stimulation of TRK activates autophosphorylation, SHC, PI-3 kinase, PLC-gamma-1, and ERK1 signaling pathways.;
