" /> Retinoic Acid Receptor Beta - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Retinoic Acid Receptor Beta;

NCIt synonyms : HBV-Activated Protein; RAR-Epsilon; Retinoic Acid Receptor Beta 2; Retinoic Acid Receptor Beta 4; Hepatitis B Virus Activated Protein; RARB; RAR-Beta; Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 1 Group B Member 2; NR1B2;

NCIt definition : Retinoic acid receptor beta (455 aa, 50 kDa) is encoded by the human RARB gene. This protein plays a role in the modulation of retinoic acid-dependent gene expression.;

NCIt note : Alternative isoforms of Retinoic Acid Receptor Beta (1-4) are composed of three domains: an N-terminal modulating domain, a central DNA-binding domain, and a C-terminal ligand-binding domain. RARB controls embryonic morphogenesis, cell proliferation, and differentiation by directly regulating gene transcription. RARB appears to limit growth of many cell types.;
