" /> Cyclic AMP-Responsive Element-Binding Protein 3 - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Cyclic AMP-Responsive Element-Binding Protein 3;

NCIt synonyms : cAMP Responsive Element Binding Protein 3; Luman; CREB3; CREB-3; Basic Leucine Zipper Protein LZIP; Cyclic AMP Response Element (CRE)-Binding Protein/Activating Transcription Factor 1; Transcription Factor LZIP-Alpha; Basic Leucine Zipper Protein; cAMP-Responsive Element Binding Protein 3; cAMP Responsive Element Binding Protein-3;

NCIt definition : Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 3 (395 aa, 44 kDa) is encoded by the human CREB3 gene. This protein is involved in the modulation of transcription downstream of regulated intramembrane proteolysis.;

NCIt note : Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 3 is found in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. Stress of this organelle causes cleavage of the protein. This releases the N-terminal cytoplasmic domain which then translocates into the nucleus. (UniProt);
