" /> Zinc Finger Protein PLAGL1 - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Zinc Finger Protein PLAGL1;

NCIt synonyms : Pleiomorphic Adenoma-Like Protein 1; Pleomorphic Adenoma Gene-Like 1 Protein; LOT-1; Tumor Supressor ZAC; PLAG-Like 1; PLAGL1; Lost on Transformation 1; Tumor Suppressor ZAC; ZAC Tumor Supressor; Pleiomorphic Adenoma-Like Protein-1;

NCIt definition : Zinc finger protein PLAGL1 (463 aa, 51 kDa) is encoded by the human PLAGL1 gene. This protein is involved in cell cycle arrest, promotion of apoptosis and transcriptional regulation.;

NCIt note : Pleomorphic Adenoma-Like Protein 1 contains 7 C2H2-type zinc fingers and inhibits cell proliferation through induction of the p53 apoptosis and cell cycle arrest pathways. PLAGL1 also regulates pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide type 1 receptor, a potent insulin secretagogue and mediator of autocrine control of insulin secretion in the pancreatic islets.;
