" /> Receptor-Interacting Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase 3 - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Receptor-Interacting Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase 3;

NCIt synonyms : Receptor-Interacting Protein 3; RIP-Like Protein Kinase 3; RIP3; RIPK3; Receptor-Interacting Serine/Threonine Protein Kinase 3; RIP-3; EC 2.7.11.1; Receptor-Interacting Serine-Threonine Protein Kinase-3;

NCIt definition : Receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 3 (518 aa, 57 kDa) is encoded by the human RIPK3 gene. This protein plays a role in the induction of necrosis.;

NCIt note : RIPK3 colocalizes in the mitochondrion with RIPK1. RIPK3 is recruited to the TNFR1 complex in a RIPK1-dependent manner and interacts with TRAF2. The RIPK3 C-terminus is required to induce apoptosis through the activation of some or all caspases and also appears to activate NFKB. RIPK3 can stimulate NFKB nuclear translocation.;
