" /> C-C Motif Chemokine 3 - CISMeF

Preferred Label : C-C Motif Chemokine 3;

NCIt synonyms : CCL3; LD78; Stem Cell Inhibitor; MIP-1 Alpha; MIP-1a; Chemokine (C-C motif) Ligand 3; MIP-1-alpha; Small Inducible Cytokine A3; PAT 464.1; Small Inducible Cytokine-A3; Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1-Alpha; Tonsillar Lymphocyte LD78 Alpha Protein; G0/G1 Switch Regulatory Protein 19-1; LD78-Alpha; Small-Inducible Cytokine A3; SIS-Beta;

NCIt definition : C-C motif chemokine 3 (92 aa, 10 kDa) is encoded by the human CCL3 gene. This protein is involved in both the inhibition of HIV binding to C-C chemokine receptor type 5 and the regulation of neutrophil and monocyte chemotaxis.;

NCIt note : C-C motif chemokine 3 is processed to form MIP-1-alpha(4-69). The active form of the chemokine is either a homodimer or a heterodimer comprised of MIP-1-alpha(4-69) and MIP-1-beta(3-69). (UniProt);
