" /> N4-(N-Acetyl-Beta-Glucosaminyl)-L-Asparagine Amidase - CISMeF

Preferred Label : N4-(N-Acetyl-Beta-Glucosaminyl)-L-Asparagine Amidase;

NCIt synonyms : N(4)-(Beta-N-Acetylglucosaminyl)-L-Asparaginase; EC 3.5.1.26; Aspartylglucosaminidase; AGA; Glycosylasparaginase;

NCIt definition : N(4)-(beta-N-acetylglucosaminyl)-L-asparaginase (346 aa, 37 kDa) is encoded by the human AGA gene. This protein plays a role in the cleavage of the bond between N-acetylglucosamine and asparagine in glycoproteins.;

NCIt note : N(4)-(beta-N-acetylglucosaminyl)-L-asparaginase is synthesized as a proprotein that undergoes autocatalytic cleavage yielding the mature alpha and beta chains. The N-terminal threonine of the beta subunit is required for nucleophile hydrolase activity. (UniProt);
