" /> Breast Cancer Anti-Estrogen Resistance 3 Protein - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Breast Cancer Anti-Estrogen Resistance 3 Protein;

NCIt synonyms : BCAR3; SH2 Domain-Containing Protein 3B; Breast Cancer Anti-Estrogen Resistance 3; Novel SH2-Containing Protein 2; Breast Cancer Anti-Estrogen Resistance-3 Protein;

NCIt definition : Breast cancer anti-estrogen resistance protein 3 (825 aa, 93 kDa) is encoded by the human BCAR3 gene. This protein may be involved in receptor-mediated signaling.;

NCIt note : Encoded by human BCAR3 Gene, the 92.6 kD 825-amino acid BCAR3 Protein contains a putative SH2 domain, a hallmark of tyrosine kinase signaling molecules, and sequences homologous to CDC48 (Yeast). Abundant expression is seen in heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, spleen, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine, colon, fetal kidney, and several cancer cell lines, but not in nonmalignant breast tissue. NSP2 induces anti-estrogen resistance in estrogen-dependent breast tumors. (SWISS-PROT, OMIM);
