Preferred Label : Autologous Anti-CD19 CAR-T Cells CABA-201;

NCIt synonyms : Autologous CD19-specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cells CABA-201; Autologous Anti-CD19 CAR T-cells CABA-201;

NCIt definition : A preparation of autologous T-lymphocytes that have been genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19, coupled to a costimulatory domain of 4-1BB (CD137), with potential immunomodulatory activity. Upon administration, autologous anti-CD19 CAR-T cells CABA-201 target and bind to CD19-expressing B-cells. This results in a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against CD19-expressing B-cells. CD19, a B-cell-specific cell surface antigen that plays an important role in B-cell activation, is overexpressed in some autoimmune diseases.;
