encoding a 14g2a.zeta chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) directed against the disialoganglioside
GD2, with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon intravenous
administration, the activated T-lymphocytes target the GD2 antigen on tumor cells
and selectively kill those cells. The tumor-associated antigen GD2 is overexpressed
on the surface of almost all tumors of neuroectodermal origin.;
