Preferred Label : CLDN6 RNA-LPX Vaccine;

NCIt synonyms : CLDN6 RNA-LPX; CLDN6 Ribonucleic Acid-Lipoplex; CLDN6 mRNA Vaccine;

NCIt definition : A RNA-lipoplex (RNA-LPX)-based cancer vaccine containing messenger RNA (RNA) encoding for the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) claudin 6 (CLDN6; CLDN-6), encapsulated in liposomes, with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration of CLDN6 RNA-LPX vaccine, the RNA-LPX is taken up by antigen-presenting cells (APCs), especially dendritic cells (DCs). Upon uptake, the antigen is translated, processed, and presented to the immune system. This results in the induction of antigen-specific CD8 and CD4 T-cell responses against CLDN6. CLDN6, a transmembrane tight-junction protein and embryonic antigen, is overexpressed on a variety of tumor cells but is not expressed on normal, healthy adult cells.;
