NCIt definition : A preparation of autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) derived from each
patient's resected tumor and edited with the clustered regularly interspaced short
palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR associated protein 9 (Cas9) system to eliminate
the expression of as of yet not elucidated immunoregulatory targets, with potential
immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration back into the
patient, autologous TILs GT307 specifically recognize and kill the patient's tumor
cells. The knockout of the immunoregulatory targets may enhance the proliferation
and cytokine release of the TILs.;
