NCIt definition : A preparation of autologous T-regulatory cells (Tregs) that have been genetically
modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting citrullinated proteins,
with potential immunmodulating activity. Upon administration, the autologous CAR-engineered
regulatory T-cells SBT777101 target and bind to citrullinated proteins and may decrease
inflammation and promote immunologic homeostasis. Citrullinated proteins are found
in inflamed disease-associated tissues in many autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.;
