NCIt synonyms : Metabolically Programmed CD19 CAR-T Cells; CD19-CD34t Metabolically Programmed CAR T-cells; Anti-CD19 CAR-expressing CD34tagged Metabolically Programmed T-cells; CD34-selected Metabolically Fit CD19 CAR T Cells;
NCIt definition : A preparation of a subset of T-lymphocytes, that are metabolically enhanced based
on selection and purification on CD34 expression and primed to contain T-helper subset
1 and 17 (Th1/17 hybrid cells), that have been genetically modified to express a chimeric
antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) CD19, with potential
immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, CD19-CD34tagged
metabolically programmed CAR T-cells target and bind to CD19-expressing tumor cells,
thereby inducing selective toxicity in CD19-expressing tumor cells. CD19 is a B-cell
specific cell surface antigen expressed in all B-cell lineage malignancies. These
T-cells may show enhanced persistence and effector function as compared to other,
non-metabolically enhanced, anti-CD19 CAR T-cells.;
