NCIt definition : An Fc-silenced immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) bispecific monoclonal antibody against the
tumor-associated antigen (TAA) CD30 (tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member
8; TNFRSF8) and T-cell surface antigen CD3, with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic
activities. Upon administration, anti-CD30/CD3 bispecific antibody GEN3017 targets
and binds to both CD30 on the surface of tumor cells and CD3 on T-cells. This results
in the cross-linking of tumor cells and T-cells, and induces a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte
(CTL) response against CD30-expressing tumor cells. CD30, a member of the tumor necrosis
factor receptor superfamily, is overexpressed on the surfaces of certain tumor cells.;
