NCIt definition : A preparation of autologous T-lymphocytes that have been genetically modified to express
a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for an as of yet undisclosed tumor-associated
antigen (TAA), with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon
administration, autologous CAR-T cells B4T2-001 target and bind to the TAA-expressing
tumor cells. This results in a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against the tumor
cells, the release of cytotoxic molecules and the induction of tumor cell lysis.;
