NCIt definition : A preparation of autologous T-lymphocytes that have been genetically modified and
lentivirally transduced to express a dual-target chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and
a truncated form of the cytokine receptor interleukin-7 (IL-7) receptor alpha (IL-7Ra),
with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration,
autologous IL-7Ra-expressing Tris-CAR T-cells target and bind to tumor cells expressing
the targets, thereby inducing selective toxicity in these tumor cells. In addition,
as IL-7/IL-7Ra-mediated signaling promotes the proliferation and survival of T-cells,
these tumor re-directed T-cells may show enhanced expansion, survival and cytotoxicity.;
