NCIt definition : A humanized agonistic monoclonal antibody directed against tumor necrosis factor receptor
2 (TNFR2; tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1B; TNFRSF1B), with potential
antineoplastic activity. Upon administration, anti-TNFR2 monoclonal antibody HFB200301
targets and binds to TNFR2 expressed on the surface of CD4 T-cells, CD8 T-cells
and natural killer (NK) cells in the tumor micro-environment (TME), thereby activating
CD4 T-cells, CD8 T-cells and NK cells. This may enhance T-cell- and NK cell- mediated
immune responses against tumor cells. TNFR2, a member of the TNFR family of co-stimulatory
molecules, plays an important role in T-cell co-stimulation.;
