NCIt definition : A T-cell redirecting agent and bispecific antibody targeting both the prostate cancer
lineage antigen tomoregulin-2 (transmembrane protein with EGF-like and two follistatin-like
domains 2; TMEFF2; TENB2) and the T-cell surface receptor CD3, with potential immunomodulating
and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, anti-TMEFF2/anti-CD3 bispecific
antibody JNJ-70218902 targets and binds to both TMEFF2 expressed on tumor cells and
CD3 expressed on T-cells. The resulting cross-linkage activates and redirects T-cells
to TMEFF2-expressing tumor cells. This results in T-cell-mediated lysis of tumor cells.
TMEFF2, a transmembrane protein with epidermal growth factor-like and 2 follistatin-like
domains, is normally expressed in healthy brain and prostate and overexpressed in
prostate cancer.;
