NCIt definition : A human immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody directed against tumor necrosis
factor Receptor 2 (TNFR2; tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1B; TNFRSF1B),
with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration, anti-TNFR2 monoclonal
antibody BI-1808 targets and binds to TNFR2 on tumor-associated regulatory T cells
(Tregs) in the tumor microenvironment (TME), thereby preventing TNFR2-mediated signaling.
This depletes intra-tumoral Tregs, induces and expands intra-tumoral CD8 T-cells,
thereby enhancing T-cell-mediated immune responses against tumor cells. TNFR2 plays
a role in tumor necrosis factor signaling, tumor expansion and survival.;
