NCIt definition : A monoclonal antibody targeting the tyrosine kinase receptor epidermal growth factor
receptor 2 (HER2; ErbB2), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration,
the anti-HER2 monoclonal antibody BAY2701438 targets and specifically binds to HER2
on tumor cells, thereby blocking HER2-mediated signaling. This may inhibit proliferation
of HER2-expressing tumor cells. HER2 is overexpressed in a variety of cancer cell
types and is associated with increased tumor cell proliferation.;
