Preferred Label : BRAF585-614 (V600E) Peptide;

NCIt synonyms : BRAF 585-614 (V600E) Peptide; BRAF(V600E)585-614 Peptide; Neoantigen-mBRAF Peptide; NeoAg-mBRAF Peptide;

NCIt definition : A mutated neoantigen peptide consisting of amino acids 585 through 614 of the v-raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1 (BRAF; B-raf) and containing the specific mutation V600E, and to which a histidine has been added to the N-terminus, with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, the BRAF585-614 (V600E) peptide may stimulate the immune system to mount a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL)-mediated immune response against tumor cells expressing the mutated BRAF V600E. BRAF, a serine/threonine protein kinase, plays a key role in regulating the MAP kinase/ERKs signaling pathway, which may be constitutively activated due to BRAF gene mutations, including the BRAF(V600E) mutation, in which valine (V) is substituted by glutamic acid (E) at amino acid 600.;
