Upon administration, the autologous CLL1-CAR-CD28-expressing T-lymphocytes specifically target and bind to CLL1-expressing tumor cells. This induces selective toxicity in tumor cells that express the CLL1 antigen. CLL1, a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily, is overexpressed in leukemic stem cells (LSCs) and plays an important role in disease progression and relapse for myeloid malignancies.;
