NCIt definition : An individualized peptide-based cancer vaccine comprised of three to five human leukocyte
antigen (HLA) binding tumor-specific peptides obtained from the autologous mutated
proteins from the tumor cells of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL),
with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activity. Upon intradermal administration
of the personalized multi-HLA-binding peptide vaccine, the peptides may induce a tumor-specific
cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against the peptides that are expressed by the
tumor cells.;
