NCIt definition : A preparation of autologous tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) with potential antineoplastic
activity. TILs are isolated from a patient's tumor tissue, then cultured and expanded
in vitro in the presence of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and an agonistic anti-4-1BB (CD137)
antibody. Upon infusion of the autologous expanded TILs back into the patient, the
cells specifically recognize, target, and kill the patient's tumor cells.;
