NCIt definition : A monoclonal antibody against the human dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (dipeptidylpeptidase
IV, DPPIV, DPP4; CD26), with potential activity against graft-versus-host disease
(GvHD). Upon administration, begelomab binds to CD26 expressed on T-cells. This inhibits
the stimulation of T-cells and may prevent GvHD. CD26, a membrane-bound glycoprotein
with dipeptidyl peptidase activity, plays a key role in T-cell activation and immune
regulation.;
