age. It is characterized by a dramatic onset of a pneumonia-like illness with cough,

interstitial inflammation without collagen fibrosis, diffuse fibroblastic foci, and
no microscopic honeycomb change. There is excessive proliferation of granulation tissue
within small airways and alveolar ducts.;
