The technique of tubal sterilization by culdoscopy is described. It appears that the method is highly effective, as evidenced by reports of over 1150 cases of operation without any subsequent pregnancy. The operation is rapid and does not leave scars, which makes it more acceptable to patients. Hospitalization is of short duration. From the viewpoint of the surgeon, the operation is simple and can be performed without electrosurgery.
