Recent demographic trends in Burkina Faso are analyzed using data from the 1975 and 1985 censuses. Consideration is given to differences in population density by province, urbanization, and internal migration. The author concludes that although urbanization levels are moderate, if current levels of population growth continue there will be problems of urban readjustment and food supply by the year 2000.
