Résumé

Projected changes in age structure in Belgium are examined at the arrondissement level for the period 1976-2000. Eight regions are identified on the basis of initial age composition and projected trends in demographic aging and the economically active population. The dependency burden is also discussed. The results indicate a general trend toward population aging, with the exception of the years 1980-1985. (summary in ENG)
