The article attempts an evaluation of 7 years of experience with the MLCu 250, and reviews the published literature and results obtained according to several authors and in different situations, such as postpartum and intermenstrual insertions in nulliparous and primiparous patients. Results obtained with the new models, Mini MLCu 250, Short MLCu 250, and ML 375 are also reviewed and discussed. Finally the authors report on their own experience with 103 insertions of ML 375, the newest, highly copper potentiated device.
