Definition : Internal capsule is an organ subdivision of the telencephalon which is made up primarily
of myelinated axonal neural tissue (white matter). The internal capsule is a major
set of fiber bundles lateral to the thalamus and caudate nucleus and medial to the
putamen and globus pallidus. It projects dorsally to the white matter underlying the
cerebral cortex.;
