Definition : On chest radiographs, a reticular pattern is a collection of innumerable small linear
opacities that, by summation, produce an ppearance resembling a net (synonym: reticulation)
(Fig 61). This finding usually represents interstitial lung disease. The constituents
of a reticular pattern are more clearly seen at thinsection CT, whether they are interlobular
septal thickening, intralobular lines, or the cyst walls of honeycombing. (Reticular
