Definition : A rare aggressive variant of chondrosarcoma, characterized by a biphasic histologic
pattern of small compact cells intermixed with islands of cartilaginous matrix. Mesenchymal
chondrosarcomas have a predilection for flat bones; long tubular bones are rarely
