Definition : Thin layer of periosteal new bone on the inferior surface of the mandible on a radiograph
of an infant. If seen in low-birth-weight infant, suggests nutritional rickets; if
seen in infant with dyspnea or apnea, suggests lung disease of skeletal origin.;
