NCIt definition : Stage II includes: IIA (T1-2, N1-2, M0, B0-1); IIB (T3, N0-2, M0, B0-1). T1: Limited patches, papules, and/or plaques covering less than 10% of the skin surface. May further stratify into T1a (patch only) vs. T1b (plaque /- patch). T2: Patches, papules, or plaques covering 10% or more of the skin surface. May further stratify into T2a (patch only) vs. T2b (plaque /- patch). T3: One or more tumors (equal or greater than 1 cm diameter). N0: No clinically abnormal peripheral lymph nodes; biopsy not required. N1: Clinically abnormal peripheral lymph nodes; histopathology Dutch grade 1 or NCI LN0-2. Alternative definition : NCI-GLOSS: Stage II is divided into stages IIA and IIB. In stage IIA, any amount of the skin surface is covered with patches and/or plaques (areas of abnormal tissue). Lymph nodes are enlarged but cancer has not spread to them. In stage IIB, one or more tumors (lumps of malignant cells) are found on the skin. Lymph nodes may be enlarged but cancer has not spread to them. Stage II may also be classified based on how many abnormal lymphocytes (white blood cells) are found in the blood.;
