and peptone as energy sources, nonfermenting, trypsin negative, and does not reduce
nitrate or hydrolyze starch or esculin. P. asaccharolytica is commensal to the human
oropharynx, gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts, but can become pathogenic.;
