nitrate, produces hydrogen sulfide, utilizes citrate, glycerol, and maltose, and has
broad spectrum antibiotic resistance. O. intermedium is found in soil and is an opportunistic
pathogen particularly in immunocompromised individuals or those with nosocomial infections.;
