Aberrant expression of this gene is associated with incontinentia pigmenti.;

NCIt note : Sequence analysis demonstrated that the CTAG1A gene is an identical copy of the CTAG1B gene both are located in the vicinity of Xq28. The CTAG1A sequence lies in the opposite orientation of and is centromeric to the CTAG1B gene. (OMIM);
