supplement with mycotoxin binding and protective activities. Upon ingestion prior
to each meal, hydrated sodium calcium aluminosilicate is not absorbed by the gastrointestinal
tract but rather binds certain food contaminants, including aflatoxin (AF) and fumonisin
B1 (FB1), thereby reducing the bioavailability of these substances. Dietary exposure
of AF and FB1 has been associated with an increased risk of certain cancers.;
