NCIt definition : Human KDSR wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 18q21.3 and is approximately 37 kb in length. This allele, which encodes 3-ketodihydrosphingosine reductase protein, is involved in sphingolipid biosynthesis. Translocation t(2;18)(p11;q21) of KDSR with an Ig J kappa chain region is a cause of follicular lymphoma.;

NCIt note : The FVT1 gene was initially identified in a follicular lymphoma as the fusion partner of a J-kappa segment translocation. This gene exhibits low expression in normal hematopoietic tissues. Conversely, the FVT1 gene is highly expressed in both phytohemagglutinin-stimulated lymphocytes and certain T-cell malignancies.;
