NCIt definition : The Norwegian Elkhound is a hardy, medium-sized Spitz-type dog, sturdy and squarely built with great stamina. The head is broad and wedge-shaped. The paws are small and tight with thick pads. The stand-off double coat has a distinctive grey color with a lighter undercoat and undersides. A distinct characteristic of the Norwegian Elkhound is the absence of dog odor. The average height range is 18-21 inches and the average weight range is 40-60 pounds.;
