Down-regulation or complete loss of DAB2 gene expression is associated with certain cancers such as breast cancer and ovarian epithelial carcinomas.;

NCIt note : The DAB2 gene produces two mRNA transcripts via alternative splicing which, in turn, encode distinct protein isoforms. This gene is a candidate tumor suppressor gene.;
