NCIt note : Human NKTR Gene at 3p23-p21 is involved in the recognition of tumor cells by the LGL subpopulation of granular lymphocytes that kill tumor cells by an MHC-independent mechanism. Alternative splicing occurs in the 5-prime region. Use of an alternate exon 6 produces a truncated protein, while use of an alternate splice acceptor in exon 9 generates a deletion.;
