NRAGE appears to shift from cytoplasm to plasma membrane upon NGF stimulation to interact with p75NTR. NRAGE antagonizes p75NTR association with TRKA, inhibits cell cycle progression, and facilitates p75NTR-mediated apoptosis. NRAGE may regulate the function of DLX family members.
