Alternative definition : MMHCC: Low grade astrocytic tumor. It is a generally well circumscribed, slowly growing, often cystic, astrocytoma. It is histologically characterized by a biphasic pattern with varying proportion of compacted bipolar cells which may have Rosenthal fibers (tapered corkscrew-shaped, brightly eosinophilic, intracytoplasmic hyaline masses) and loose textured multipolar cells with microcysts and granular bodies.;
