" /> Phosphorylated Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase Chk2 - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Phosphorylated Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase Chk2;

NCIt synonyms : Phosphorylated CHK2; Phosphorylated Checkpoint-Like Protein CHK2; Phospho-CHEK2; pCHEK2; pCHK2; Phospho-CHK2; Phosphorylated CDS1; Phosphorylated CHEK2; Phosphorylated Checkpoint Kinase 2; p-CHK2; p-CHEK2;

NCIt definition : A post-translationally modified form of serine/threonine-protein kinase Chk2 (CHEK2) where one or more serine or threonine residues are phosphorylated. DNA-damage stimulates phosphorylation of this protein, which promotes its dimerization, autophosphorylation and activation of its kinase activity. Activated CHEK2 promotes checkpoint-mediated cell cycle arrest by phosphorylating and inhibiting substrates involved in cell cycle progression.;
