NCIt definition : An investigator who is responsible for all aspects of the conduct of a study.;
Alternative definition : CDISC: A person who has the primary responsibility for the conduct of a clinical study
and study-related personnel at a study site. While a single-center study would not
include a coordinating investigator, the investigator at the site would fulfill the
same responsibilities as a principal investigator.; BRIDG 3.0.3: The principal investigator (PI) at a site who is responsible for all
activities related to a specific network's research at that site. EXAMPLE(S): Dr.
Habermann is the ECOG site PI at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Long is the site PI for the GOG
network participation at Mayo. They are responsible for the overall management of
the entire network's (ECOG, GOG) studies in which the Mayo Clinic participates.; CDISC-GLOSS: An individual responsible and accountable for conducting clinical research
