Preferred Label : Plan Treated in Session Number;
NCIt definition : A particular plan that is treated within a specified session for a course of radiation
therapy.;
Alternative definition : OORO: Dose for a course of radiation therapy is delivered in a set of sessions. Among
the set of plans treated in that course some may be treated concurrently in the same
session, others in sequence in different sessions. A session is the set of radiation
delivered from the time the patient enters until they exit the treatment room. These
are typically integer values e.g. 1, 2, 30. If the session is interrupted (e.g. the
machine has a failure, or the patient needs to use the restroom) and then the session
is resumed, then a decimal value is used to indicate the grouping. e.g. 1, 2, 3.0,
3.1, 3.2. Note in this case the number of fractions used to treat the plan is a count
of the number of distinct integer values of session number.;
