" /> Anti-CAIX CAR T Cells - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Anti-CAIX CAR T Cells;

NCIt synonyms : CAIX-targeted CAR-T Cells;

NCIt definition : A preparation of T-lymphocytes that have been genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX; carbonic anhydrase 9; CA9; G250), with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, anti-CAIX CAR T-cells target and bind to CAIX-expressing tumor cells, thereby inducing selective toxicity in CAIX-expressing tumor cells. CAIX is a member of the carbonic anhydrase family that is found in a majority of renal cell carcinomas while absent in most normal tissues.;
